About

Philipp was born in Berlin, Germany. He received his PhD in Chemistry in 2023 at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg (Germany) under the supervision of Prof. Ingo Krossing. During his PhD, he investigated the isolation of reactive low-valent group 13 cations with a focus on aluminum compounds. Continuing his work as a PostDoc in the Krossing group, he expanded his research to small-molecule activation with low-valent gallium cations. In 2024, Philipp joined the Gilliard group as a Humboldt fellow to study the isolation of novel boron-doped heterocycles.
