About

Kim started undergraduate research at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania making recyclable polymer-supported ruthenium catalysts under the advisement of Dr. Philip Osburn. She then participated in a NSF REU at the University of Tennessee in Dr. Ampofo Darko’s group making rhodium paddlewheel complexes. Kim continued work at Bloomsburg University for 6 months after receiving her bachelors’s degree, synthesizing ruthenium pincer complexes for Dr. Philip Osburn.
