About

Gargi was born in Bankura, India. She received her B.Sc. degree in 2015 from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and earned her M.Sc. from IIT Madras in 2017. She then joined Dr. Sakya S. Sen’s research group at CSIR-NCL, Pune, where she completed her Ph.D. in 2022. Subsequently, she was an Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral fellow at Philipps University of Marburg, Germany (2023–2025), where she worked with Dr. Crispin Lichtenberg. Her research interests include boron and molecular bismuth chemistry and their applications. In May 2025, she joined the Gilliard Group as a Fulbright-Nehru postdoctoral Fellow to explore the chemistry of fluorescent Boron-based Radicals and their applications.
