About

Chunlin Deng was born in Sichuan, China, and received his PhD in Chemistry (2015) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, China under the guidance of Prof. Henry N. C. Wong. In 2017, he moved to the University of Oregon, the USA, where he was a postdoctoral research scholar in the joint-group of Prof. Michael M. Haley and Prof. Darren W. Johnson. Between 2019 and 2021, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Maryland focusing on the design and synthesis of novel supramolecular host systems for biomedical applications. His research work in the Gilliard lab focuses on the synthesis of novel heterocyclic materials.
